Internal Process Overview 

  1. 1. Receive HMIS Basic Training Request from user associated with an Outreach Program 

  1. a. If email sent to personal inbox, forward to HMIS Inbox (to generate Freshdesk ticket)  

  1. 2. Send Outreach Training email template from Freshdesk 

  1. 3. Record Note in User’s contact card (will be in the Outreach Training email template to copy and paste)

  1. 5. Close Freshdesk ticket 


User Build  

  1. 1. User should reply confirming they've watched the training video and attached their User Agreement and FOIP certificate 

  1. 2. In HMIS, build user profile as noted in UA 

  1. 3. In Freshdesk, reply to the ticket using the canned response titled "HISTORICAL New User Setup"

After you have watched the training video, please submit your completed User Agreement and FOIP certificate to gain access to the live HMIS site:

  • HMIS User Agreement
  • FOIP Training (provided through the Government of Alberta - a previous FOIP completion certificate is acceptable if you have already taken the training)
